We’re delighted to announce that our longstanding transport partner, Bowrings Transport, has expanded their fleet with an additional lorry to support our growing business demands. Since the inception of Galvanize UK, Bowrings Transport has served as our preferred logistics supplier, demonstrating unwavering commitment to excellence in distribution services. Their dedicated fleet of lorries, proudly displaying Galvanize UK livery, has become a familiar sight across the region as they help us deliver on our promise of exceptional service to customers.

This strategic partnership has been fundamental to maintaining our reputation as an independent hot dip galvanizer capable of completing large-scale projects with remarkably short turnaround times. It’s starting to look like a Galvanizing Plant!

They are here, on time and to Specification….

So, when you need 8 process tanks in 2 months on a tight budget there really is only one company to contact, fortunately after having a working relationship with TR Fabrications in Dinnington for over 10 years we had the good fortune to know that they could deliver.

The process tanks 6.5m x 2.8m x 1.2m were design, constructed, painted and delivered on time and to specification.

The tanks looked great leaving their premises, looked even better when dropping in to our acid containment pit and splendid after they safely landed by Cork Cranes.

The acid tanks will be used to pickle steelwork ready for our customers who come from Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool. Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and all other towns and villages within a 60 mile radius.

GalvanizeUK, an independent galvanizer who will be collecting and delivering steelwork in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Humberside, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Teeside and beyond hope to have the civil engineering complete by the end of March. An ambitious deadline but one that could be achieved by a brilliant crew.

Lets Celebrate – Civils Work Completed

Despite having to remove 50tn of reinforced concrete floor, extract and dispose of 2500tn of soil, create 3 pits consisting of 25tn of reinforced steel bar walls and 300tn of concrete the massive civil engineering project has been completed within 11 weeks. There have been early starts, late finishes and even a few days over Christmas to ensure this project has been completed on time and within budget. GalvanizeUK, the countries newest Hot Dip Galvanizing Company have been working with Creaghan&Son and D & N Sheffield throughout the last 11 weeks. The quality of the workmanship from both contractors has been outstanding and the working relationship with both contractors has been first class. Thank You Guys

The start of an era…..

December 1st marked the start of the massive Civil Engineering project we are undertaking at GalvanizeUK. A local civil engineering Creaghan & Son Ltd was contracted to dig the 3 huge pits required for our galvanizing facility and D & N Sheffield have been contracted to supply their expertise in fixing the reinforcement and supply of concrete

Before any digging could be done the concrete floor needed to be cut and broken up, once completed an estimated 2500tn of soil will need to be removed. Once removed an estimated 25tn of steel reinforcing and 300 tn of concrete will be required on this massive project.

Home Sweet Home…

GalvanizeUK has finally found a new home for its brand new galvanizing facility. GalvanizeUK will be based at South Kirkby Business Park near Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Units 4B & 4C have been acquired to create a 23000ft facility which will service the needs galvanizing needs of steel fabricators throughout the UK.

A Collective Effort

Following negotiations with AWS who were acting on behalf of Marshall Construction a deal was struck on 7th October. Due to the extensive efforts from both parties the sale was completed within the month.

Huge thanks need to go to Chris Marshall for his assistance in getting the deal done so quickly.

After getting the keys on November 7th work started in earnest to make 2 units into 1. The connecting wall was removed within a week, extension to the offices was planned before the civils work was due to start on 1st Dec. Its going to be an incredibly busy few months.
