Supporting Galvanizers Association Open Day 2026
Supporting Galvanizers Association Open Day 2026 1200 1200 Galvanize UK | Hot Dip Galvanizing Services

Opening Our Doors. Sharing Our Expertise. Strengthening Our Industry.

On Wednesday 16th September, we were proud to take part in the Galvanizers Association Open Day 2026, joining plants across the UK and Ireland in showcasing the skill, precision and care behind hot dip galvanizing.

Across two fully booked sessions, we welcomed visitors from construction, manufacturing, engineering and design – giving them a rare, behind‑the‑scenes look at the processes that protect steel from corrosion and extend the life of vital infrastructure.

A Hands-On Learning Experience

Guests had the opportunity to:
  • Walk through our plant and see galvanizing in action
  • Speak directly with our team about specifications, quality and process control
  • Learn how corrosion protection decisions shape durability and performance
  • Watch an expertly produced Galvanizers Association video explaining the science and value behind galvanizing
This mirrors the GA’s wider mission to help specifiers understand not just the technical guidance, but the process itself.

A Partnership That Strengthens the Sector

Our long-standing partnership with the Galvanizers Association continues to play an important role in promoting best practice, transparency and education across the industry. By opening our plant to visitors, we help demystify the galvanizing process and support better-informed specifications.

Thank You to Our Team

A huge thank you to everyone across GalvanizeUK who made the day possible. Your professionalism, preparation and passion were recognised and appreciated by every attendee. Together, we’re helping build a stronger, more informed future for galvanizing.

GalvanizeUK Supports Cleveland Scout Water Sport With Bespoke Trailer
Solution

The collaboration focused on delivering a brand-new trailer enhancement, featuring an additional bespoke made and galvanized layer. The upgrade was designed to enable the Cleveland Scout Water Sport team to safely transport a greater volume of equipment in one journey, improving efficiency and opening new opportunities for activity delivery beyond their main site.
The trailer was designed inhouse by a member of the Water Sport team who is a skilled fabricator. Once the design was complete, the team needed a galvanizing specialist to provide a durable, longlasting finish suitable for demanding outdoor use. After a quick Google search, they found GalvanizeUK – and the partnership quickly took shape.
Although the fabrication stage took longer than originally planned, GalvanizeUK ensured the final process was seamless once the trailer section was ready. The team organised collection, completed the galvanizing process promptly and delivered the finished piece back, ready for use.

Scott from the Programme and Activity Team at Cleveland Scout Water Sport praised the experience:

It was really great working with GalvanizeUK – they couldn’t do enough to support us. Once we were ready, they organised everything from collection through to delivery. The service was excellent and I’d highly recommend them.

The completed trailer is now enabling Cleveland Scout Water Sport to run more offsite activities, giving their team greater flexibility and allowing them to reach more people in the community. For GalvanizeUK, this project is a strong reflection of the company’s values: putting community first while delivering a professional, topclass service, regardless of project size.

Justin Deegan, Operations Director at GalvanizeUK, commented:

Projects like this demonstrate what GalvanizeUK stands for – supporting local organisations, applying the same high standards to every job, and using our expertise to make a real difference. Whether it’s a largescale commercial project or a bespoke community solution, our team is committed to delivering quality and reliability every time.

GalvanizeUK is proud to support organisations like Cleveland Scout Water Sport and looks forward to continuing to work on projects that combine practical engineering solutions with positive community impact.

Galvuk Supports UK’s Inclusive ParaNetball Festival

Galvuk is proud to sponsor the ParaNetball Festival, hosted by Net4All at Sheffield Concord Netball Club and taking place at the English Institute of Sport. This event is the only inclusive festival of its kind running in the UK this year.

Breaking Barriers Through Sport

Net4All was established in 2019 to provide a welcoming space for girls aged 11 and over and women of all ages with SEND – additional needs or intellectual impairments – to enjoy netball and build confidence through sport.
Growing from just two players on its first taster day to over 30 regular attendees, Net4All now offers monthly training sessions, competition opportunities including the England Netball Paranetball Championships, and a blended team competing in the South Yorkshire league.

Our Commitment to Community

Justin Deegan, Commercial Director at Galvuk, says

We’re very pleased to support the ParaNetball Festival and help make a real difference to communities in our region. Sport builds confidence, fosters connection, and transforms lives. By supporting Net4All, we’re ensuring everyone has the opportunity to experience that power – regardless of their abilities. This sponsorship reflects Galvuk’s commitment to supporting the communities we operate in and helping organisations like Net4All create inclusive opportunities for all.

Helen Thornloe, Head Coach at Net4All  said:

While netball is England’s most popular team sport for women with 319,000 regular participants, women and girls with SEND remain significantly underrepresented. Only 17.2% of disabled people participate in sport weekly—and rates are even lower for those facing multiple barriers. This festival exists to change that.

A First for the UK

The ParaNetball Festival, hosted in partnership with inclusive netball clubs across the North including Manchester Thunder Paranetball represents a significant milestone for inclusive sport.

Triple ISO Recertification Success: Zero Non-Conformities Achieved

We are delighted to announce the successful recertification to ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 through our integrated management system, achieving zero non-conformities across all three standards.

The comprehensive audit, conducted by the Centre for Assessment (CfA), our UKAS approved auditors, represents a significant milestone in our commitment to quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Integrated Management System Excellence

Our integrated approach to management systems allows us to streamline processes while maintaining the highest standards across quality management, occupational health and safety, and environmental management. This holistic approach not only ensures compliance but drives continuous improvement throughout our operations.

The recertification process involved rigorous assessment of our systems and processes, with CfA auditors examining every aspect of our integrated management framework. The achievement of zero non-conformities demonstrates the robustness of our approach and the dedication of our entire team.

“This recertification represents more than just meeting standards – it validates that our commitment to excellence is embedded in everything we do,” said Robert Mohan, Managing Director. “The fact that we achieved zero non-conformities with minimal changes to our existing practices shows that quality, safety, and environmental responsibility aren’t add-ons to our business – they’re fundamental to how we operate every day.”

Acid Tanks Are Here
Acid Tanks Are Here 3840 2160 Galvanize UK | Hot Dip Galvanizing Services

It’s starting to look like a Galvanizing Plant!

They are here, on time and to Specification….

So, when you need 8 process tanks in 2 months on a tight budget there really is only one company to contact, fortunately after having a working relationship with TR Fabrications in Dinnington for over 10 years we had the good fortune to know that they could deliver.

The process tanks 6.5m x 2.8m x 1.2m were design, constructed, painted and delivered on time and to specification.

The tanks looked great leaving their premises, looked even better when dropping in to our acid containment pit and splendid after they safely landed by Cork Cranes.

The acid tanks will be used to pickle steelwork ready for our customers who come from Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool. Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and all other towns and villages within a 60 mile radius.
